Finally got the urge to get out there. Took this the other night with the MAK. Not sure what I think of it.

Nice shot Geoff. Good data😀. I had a look at the same object in "imaging the southern sky" book and they have a tad more nebulosity on the outer limits of the nebula. I reckon your background may have been pushed back in the processing ,but,it has high contrast and hides this nebulosity. What do you think? But,well,it's pretty damn good as it is.

I had a few exposures not work(satellites!!!) and ran out of imaging time so I didn't get the total number of shots that I planned. Had I been able to get more data I think the extra nebulosity may have been more evident. Happy that everything worked after a few months of nothing.
