Experimented with 20 to 30 second exposure times on totality and up to 4 seconds in the shadow phase and also discovered too that for single shot processing it's best to get a nice bright image rather than the time minimal shots that enhance/widen grey scale for stacking multiple frames.

When I got home I also took some shots with DSLR on tripod (I need to sort and post the images). I found the better frames I got, were the shorter exposure that minimised the earth rotation blur. I used a 500mm lens at higher iso's. I will post my pics soon.
