Hi fella's -out for a few hours last night, thought atmosphere pretty good - but turned out to be poor seeing > 6" - crap!!! Anyway, still blown away using Firecapture and AutoStakkert software - especially the latter. Not too bad on the 'scope when you think about it - around F/32 with an 85mm aperture - thank goodness these objects are bright - Mars looks as though it's dust storm is still running and I'd like to pull an all nighter with Jupiter once I get a handle on the settings a bit more - as the ZWO will make a terrific movie!

Nice pics Merv I reckon when we all get the hang of this little zwo 120 beastie and the software settings we will learn heaps about this planetary imaging stuff. It is suprising the images we are getting with our experience.

Spot on there Bruce - amazing cameras and equally fine software - I was looking in a british astro mag the other day and came across a newbie young astrophotographer and her image of Saturn as good as any pro-am I've ever seen - might have been good atmosphere at the time - but still great all the same!!

Pretty sure there's a dust storm on Saturn too!
